LEADING CHURCH SYSTEMS THROUGH CHANGE - RICHMOND, VA
How do leaders behave healthily amid broad-scale change? This four-level leadership development seminar is an excellent introduction to ministering to congregations as family systems. Designed by Larry Matthews for the Center for Creative Church Leadership Development, he and Dr. Robert Dale, the Director of the Center, are the core faculty. Open to all denominations, four three-day sessions are scheduled during the 2007-08 academic year.

These workshops are led by The Reverend Susannah R. Smith. An ordained Episcopal priest, she studied with Edwin Friedman and has been a long-time participant in the Leadership In Ministry Workshops. Her workshops are grounded in Holy Habits, Bowen Family Systems Theory and the thinking of Friedman. One day workshops are planned in North Carolina and New Jersey during October and November and a three day workshop at Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will take place November 12-14. She also emails a monthly Inspirited Leadership Reflection.

These introductory seminars and advanced level support groups are led by The Reverend Dr. Terry Germann. Dr. Germann participated in Ed Friedman's seminars. A lutheran minister, he is a liscensed marriage and family therapist. The introductory seminars meet monthly, September through April, in Dallas, Houston and Arlington. The support groups meet monthly in Dallas and Arlington.

CLERGY CONSULTATION GROUPS IN FAMILY SYSTEMS THEORY - SAN ANTONIO, TX
These introductory and advanced level classes were begun in 1994 and are led by The Reverend Dr. Doug Hester. Dr. Hester was a participant in Ed Friedman's seminars. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a clinical member of AAMFT. Classes meet once a month, September through May, in Texas in Austin, San Antonio, Mertzon, Kingsville, Houston, Victoria and Round Rock; and in Arkansas in Little Rock.

CLERGY SEMINARS IN FAMILY PROCESS - MI, IL, OH
Founded in 1993 by The Reverend Dr. Larry Foster, these seminars include seven one day or four two day sessions led by Dr. Foster in each of nine locations. He participated in Ed Friedman's seminars and has studied at the Georgetown Family Center in Washington, DC. In addition to serving for 24 years in parish ministry, he is a member of AAMFT and a Fellow in AAPC.

The Center was founded in 1990 by the colleagues of Dr. Edwin Friedman for the training of therapists and other professionals. Since his death in 1996, the Center has continued to provide the clergy training program begun by Dr. Friedman. Introductory and advanced level clergy programs are offered. THE PASTORAL COUNSELING & EDUCATION CENTER (PCEC) - DALLAS, TX
The Center offers a Pastoral Care Specialist training program that makes central to its curriculum Edwin Friedman's, Generation to Generation.
